Location: NY, NY - Hybrid


POSITION SUMMARY:

We are looking for a highly motivated, creative, and organized Social Media Manager to join a new and exciting role at John Hardy. This position will be primarily responsible for driving engagement across all existing channels and identifying emerging social trends to execute. This will be achieved with a strong vision for compelling and innovative branded content as well as a sophisticated understanding of how community driven content can support brand awareness and audience connection.


To be successful in this role, you must have passion and understanding of consumer behavior, a deep understanding of the competitive landscape, and a track record of successful social media management.


ROLE SCOPE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own day to day management of John Hardy’s primary social channels, becoming a familiar face and voice to our audience
  • Support Social strategies to increase followers, engagement and conversion rates
  • Own the content calendar and identify social stories and content that will resonate with the John Hardy audience
  • In partnership with Creative team, generate engaging content
  • Responsible for publishing and sharing of content across channels
  • Perform research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences
  • Expand on best practices while also testing new social trends to keep the content fresh and engaging
  • Support the setting of KPIs / benchmarks, own reporting on social metrics and analytics, and make timely informed suggestions on how to optimize
  • Own all aspects of community management including, posting, responding to queries in a timely manner, escalating issues and recurring themes, client care questions, responding to comments and participating in conversations that inspire brand loyalty and customer connection
  • Monitor social SEO and platform traffic metrics
  • Partner with marketing and creative for cross-channel campaigns
  • Partner with cross functional teams including creative, merchandising, eCommerce and legal
  • Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications
  • Compile weekly, monthly and quarterly social media reports
  • Keep up with DMs, comments and communication with other accounts and profiles across social


DESIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:


  • 3-5 years of social media experience.
  • Experience working with luxury brands,jewelry preferred.
  • Experience with social media management and analytics tools, such as, Asana and Sprout Social.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail
  • Proficiency in graphic design and video editing tools a plus
  • Ability to take direction, multi-task and manage shifting priorities.
  • Ability to react quickly with a strong sense of urgency and the ability to execute at a fast pace.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail.
  • Ability to build cross-functional partnerships.
  • Ability to give concise and actionable feedback to various levels.
