New Business Development Sales Manager

Purpose

The New Business Development Manager is an integral part of our expanding Retail Partner network. By working with current and prospective Retail Partners, they will identify potential new Retail Partners as well as potential expansion to current Retail Partner organizations within their assigned territory. They will be a key leader in guiding them through the process of onboarding into the Save A Lot network.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and source prospective new Retail Partners, pipeline maintenance and adherence to sales processes
  • Represent brand and guide prospects through discovery process, financing and contract execution
  • Project Manager for New Stores, Banner Flips and Retail Partner Transfers
  • Identify New Store and Banner Flip opportunities in assigned territory
  • Execute comprehensive Independent Retailer Cold Calls/Networking Plan
  • Conduct Growth Meetings with Retail Partners
  • Complete New Site Evaluations using locational analysis resources
  • Provide Real Estate Guidance to Retail Partners and Leads as needed
  • Build awareness in respective territories for the brand
  • Manage the relationship of existing regional portfolio of retailers
  • Execute monthly and yearly sales objectives with regular tracking and reports
  • Perform other duties as assigned


About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in related area and 3-5 years’ experience in developing new stores with licensed retailers
  • Knowledge in grocery retail operations
  • Aggressive, goal oriented yet collaborative work style
  • Effective collaboration skills within and outside office environment
  • Excellent judgment and problem-solving ability
  • Excellent financial acumen, market analysis experience
  • Knowledge of commercial real estate and site selection
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional ability to relate to business professionals
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of applicable software


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to travel up to ~50% of the time, which may include weekends and evenings, as needed
  • Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled environment
  • Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at a desk or computer terminal
  • Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone and other office equipment in the course of a normal workday
  • Stooping, bending, twisting and reaching may be required in completion of job duties
