The Royal Caribbean Group’s HR Transformation Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Director, HR Business Products reporting to the Senior Director, HR Transformation.

This position will work on-site in Miami, Florida.

Position Summary

The Director, of HR Business Products is the business owner of HR business operations processes within the HR Technology suite and manages the HR Business Product Owner team. They oversee the end-to-end process of conceptualization through to system implementations and enhancements led by the Functional Process Owners as well as provide business, system and process support to senior leadership.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Under the direct leadership of the Sr. Director of HR Transformation, the Director, HR Business Products oversees the system and process ownership pillar: managing the Business Ownership team and allocating SMEs to all HR functions within our HR eco-system. This leader also partners with the , Director or HR Technology to manage the global portfolio of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) projects covering the full scope of HR system activities, allocating budgets and ensuring all projects deliver on time.

  • Together with the Business Product Owners, this leader builds relationships with all business operational leaders and HR operational COEs, ensuring they always feel supported by the HR Product team
  • Partners with functional groups to develop process landscape, gap analysis, product transformation plans, organizational impact analysis, and long-term change workstream strategy
  • Partners with the Technical Product ownership group to implement and enhance the HR Technology stack
  • Manages project risks and successfully removes barriers or escalates risks/issues to senior leadership as needed
  • Provides senior leaders with regular reports, status updates, progress etc.
  • Owns the product backlog according to stakeholder requirements across all HR systems
  • Partners with the Director of HR Technology to manage the prioritization of the backlog based on urgency and criticality of requirements
  • Evaluates the work done by the Product Owners and Business Analysts, providing constant feedback, ensuring maximum product value in line with customer expectations and product vision
  • Analyzes market and industry trends to anticipate stakeholder needs
  • Defines business requirements and translates them into a deliverable project plan
  • Defines test strategy, test cases, and test scenarios with the ability to test, identify appropriate data sets and assess expected results
  • Partners with the PMO to define communications and change management strategy that might include change champion networks and cascading communication campaigns
  • Partners with the PMO to establish program-wide project plans that span multiple functions and ensure delivery to scope, target dates, and costs while managing risks, issues, and key business decisions

Qualifications, Knowledge, And Skills

  • Highly strategic, proactive, and organized
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • 12+ years of operational HR experience with at least 5 years of people leadership experience
  • Experience in project management using AGILE, PMP, or Scrum methodology (or equivalent)
  • Proven track record of portfolio management across a broad range of HR process areas, systems, and workflows including but not limited to: HCM, Case Management, Learning, Employee Engagement, Workforce Management, Recruiting, Sourcing, Compensation, and Reward
  • Ability to define and execute multiple detailed activity plans simultaneously
  • Skilled in customer facing activities covering requirements gathering, data preparation, cutover support, timeline management, and documentation preparation
  • Ability to communicate and work collaboratively within a team and have strong influencing skills
  • Ability to coach and advise senior stakeholders
  • Ability to conduct and facilitate workshops with business representatives, management and executives, team member resources, and external third-party groups
  • Ability to manage ambiguity with demonstrated confidence & credibility
  • Strong judgement and decision-making skills
  • Experience working with contemporary HR Technology platforms (e.g., Success Factors, Salesforce etc.)
