Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Director to join our thriving renewable energy company. This is not a people management role, but instead you will own the Western Region Territory and be responsible for driving new business with Commercial & Industrial Solar customers.

Responsibilities

  • Opens Doors – Drives New Business.
  • Owns large developers & EPC targets. Makes Targets the priority and drives relationships with pipeline customers.
  • Focuses on relationships with new Accounts. Regularly prospects & hunts top developers & EPCs in territory.
  • Engages company resources to win – knows how to leverage key internal leaders to win.
  • A Team Player that can win in the marketplace by leveraging company resources and drive key customer relationships.
  • Leads by Example – Owns & Understands Regional C&I pipeline performance.
  • Accountable for topline revenue growth.
  • Manages Customer Relationships but does not act as an Account Manager
  • Has a deep understanding and connection to 20/80 customer base
  • Drives engagement with key customers
  • Is the touchstone & coach for mentoring regional TSM/AM teams.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Sales/Business Development experience
  • Extensive experience in EPC or Commercial Solar is essential.
  • Demonstrated success in regional sales and client-facing roles, with strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Demonstrated experience connecting with high-level targets within organizations such as C-Suite, Marketing Leaders, Product Leaders, etc.
  • Excellent strategic thinking abilities, with the capacity to analyze market trends and identify new business opportunities.
  • Willingness to travel along western region about 50% each month
