Base pay range
The Market Strategy Lead role will help to define our products and offerings as our current product strategy evolves. This individual will drive awareness, understanding, and response to the needs of our customers and market segments. Responsible for driving the go-to-market strategy, ensuring successful product launches, and maximizing revenue growth. This position will work closely with our centralized Corporate Strategy team to ensure consistency in the execution of Market Team and Business Unit strategies across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Directs analysis and execution of market POV. Monitors competitors' products, pricing strategies, and market trends to identify areas for disruption/differentiation and define potential offerings, business case, and value proposition at concept level. Responsible for promotion development, go-to-market pricing, base pricing, product and brand positioning, and marketing and sales campaign strategy.
- Drives in-the-base revenue and wallet share. Explores new revenue sources. Researches and identifies opportunities for product diversification, upselling, cross-selling, or entering new markets to drive additional revenue streams.
- Develops and Executes Commercialization Strategies. Leads the development and execution of comprehensive go-to-market strategies for new and existing products and services. Collaborates with product management, marketing, sales, and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful product and offering launches.
- Oversees entire offering life cycle end-to-end, ensuring timely and successful go-to-market. Responsible for commercial outcomes across market segment while continuously defining and refining competitive analysis and market and audience segmentation.
- Analyzes product performance, identifies cost-saving opportunities, and maximizing revenue streams to ensure profitability. Develops tactics to retain existing customers, reduce churn, and enhance customer satisfaction to drive long-term revenue growth. Drives a portfolio of cross-functional retention initiatives.
- Immerses in understanding the needs and pain points of clients. In addition to market research, engages with customers through interview/feedback, and collaboration with sales and customer support teams to gather firsthand insights.
- Directs sales, service, and IT product teams to deliver solutions with right industry/domain context. Completes detailed offering design and creates business plan specifying cross-functional investment requirements and revenue / profit expectations
- Determines marketing investment by channel, converts technical positioning into market messages against key competitors, and socializes offering differentiation by segment and cohort. Works to expand reach via digital delivery and drive sales.
- Bachelor's Degree - Preferred
- Master's Degree - Preferred
In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share that the starting base pay for this position is $180,000 - $220,000. Please keep in mind that this is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired at Paychex, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
