Job Description:
We are seeking a Controller to oversee our company's financial operations and guide us towards sustained profitability and growth. This position will be charged with developing and implementing financial policies and systems that support our strategic objectives. Familiarity with the dynamics of the construction industry, including percentage of completion, work in progress (WIP), and job cost accounting principles, is essential for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial operations of the company, including budgets, auditing, and forecasting.
- Ensure all accounting activities and internal audits comply with financial regulations.
- Consult with the executive team on financial matters, including strategic planning, cost-benefit analysis, and forecasting needs.
- Review financial documents and reports and ensure their accuracy and compliance.
- Advise on the investment activities and provide strategies for cost-saving.
- Direct, manage and monitor project accounting activities to meet the company's financial goals.
- Collaborate with external auditors and manage internal controls.
- Coordinate work processes and optimize accounting procedures.
- Perform various other duties as assigned or as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. A Master’s Degree or CPA certification is preferred.
- Proven work experience as a Controller or similar position, ideally within the construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of project accounting, percentage of completion method, WIP, and job cost.
- Proficient in financial software and MS Office (especially Excel).
- Exceptional knowledge of financial data analysis and forecasting.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Solid ethical conduct, decision-making skills, and dedication to financial transparency.
