  • Location: Boulder, Colorado or Chicago, Illinois
  • Salary Range: $140000 - $170000


Position Summary

We seek to fill a full-time Engineering Manager position immediately in our Chicago or Boulder office. As an engineering member, you will be key in growing and innovating our complex, reliable, and performant data products. You will work with a team to deliver valuable user experiences and problem-solving tools to our customers. Primary Responsibilities

  • Coach engineers to develop their careers as they build high-quality technologies across our application stack.
  • Champion a culture of learning, continuous improvement, and psychological safety.
  • Strategize with the engineering leadership to improve our processes and provide a great Developer Experience for our Engineers.
  • Collaborate with the Agile Software Development teams and client subject matter experts to ensure the successful delivery of software projects.
  • Develop and grow the Engineering Team by recruiting, hiring, and retaining curious and driven Engineers who delight in solving our customers’ problems.


Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years experience as an Engineering Leader with a servant leadership mindset, a passion for product development flow, and a strong customer focus.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience managing small teams and building complex products in an agile environment.
  • Hands-on experience writing software.
  • Passionate about creating and improving efficient software development practices.
  • Strong communicator and loves coaching others.
  • Have a track record of collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders to deliver great products.
  • Experience with Agile Software Development methodologies (we use Kanban).
  • Experience with Lean Software Development, DevOps, and CI/CD is a plus.
  • Energy industry experience or experience in equities/commodities trading is a plus.
