As part of our ongoing expansion in North America, we seek a motivated Marketing Communications/PR Manager to join our team.

Position Summary

OrganOx seeks a highly motivated, results-driven Marketing Communications/PR Manager to define, develop, and execute effective marketing strategies, ensure brand consistency across all marketing deliverables, and optimize marketing campaigns to drive the company’s revenue growth in core markets. Reporting to the Global Director of Marketing, this person will be responsible for leveraging customer insights to define innovative marketing strategies, programs, and initiatives and will have direct ownership over campaign design and execution in both the US and worldwide.

The Marketing Communications/PR Manager will be a leader within the marketing organization and will work closely with OrganOx commercial teams in the US and Europe to execute the commercial strategy to drive revenue and market expansion. A deep understanding of marketing principles and best practices are crucial for this role.

Listed below are the key responsibilities of the role and a brief description of some of the key tasks to be performed. This list is not totally inclusive, and the person will be expected to complete additional tasks reasonably requested by the Director of Marketing.

Major Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic communication plan to enhance the company's brand image and reputation.
  • Collaborating with the Director of Global Marketing and team, develop and execute the global marketing plan (communication plan, channel strategy/mix, campaign elements and tactical plan) containing clear strategies and tactics that will drive the business forward with measurable outcomes.
  • Develop go-to-market marketing strategy including synthesis of segmentation, targeting and positioning and create marketing assets to drive commercial success.
  • Maintain a clear understanding of market dynamics, competitive landscape, and customer insights to aid in go-to-market and integrated communication plans.
  • Working with the global and upstream marketing teams, help define customer segmentation and personas, map out the stages in their purchase journey, analyze the gaps between expectations and the portfolio, and map to touch points to identify opportunities for performance improvement.
  • Deep dive into the customer experience and their journey across all touchpoints (online, email, social, SEO, webinars, conventions, symposia, field team engagement, etc.) to ensure marketing is properly equipped to delight prospects and existing customers.
  • Define the optimal awareness and demand generation strategies and mix for current portfolios and new product introductions. Create and implement communication and marketing strategies for new products, launches, events and promotions to acquire new customers through targeted lead generation campaigns to deliver revenue and growth targets.
  • Plan and design insights driven, multi-channel communication campaigns (traditional and digital) that address all levels of the sales funnel to accelerate high-quality lead conversion and drives pipeline growth.
  • Define content strategy and convey clear value propositions into highly compelling and differentiated customer facing materials that drive conversions with physicians and healthcare administrators. Lead coordination and execution of deliverables through launch and lifecycle.
  • Partner with the global marketing team and supporting marketing agencies to drive creation, development, execution, approvals, and deployment of global collaterals and campaigns consistent with brand guidelines.
  • Create engaging content for various channels, including press releases, articles, blog posts, social media posts, and website content.
  • Manage and maintain positive relationships with media contacts, influencers, and key stakeholders to secure media coverage and maximize brand exposure.
  • Develop and manage internal communication strategies to ensure consistent messaging and alignment across all departments maintaining a high level of situational awareness through frequent updates and dashboards.
  • Plan and coordinate media events, press conferences, and product launches to generate media interest and coverage.
  • Drive alignment and enablement of the marketing plan with sales, clinical support and other customer facing teams.
  • Develop global sales enablement tools and materials (including trade show booths, sponsorships, symposia, webinars, etc.) aligned with the customer buying journey ensuring sales is equipped to effectively communicate portfolio’s value proposition on the right channels.
  • Build relationships with key customers, thought leaders and industry players to facilitate sales and increase product visibility and adoption.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization (sales, clinical support, product management, education, marketing) to gain alignment and traction across priorities.
  • Set clear metrics, monitor, measure, and leverage data-backed insights to optimize marketing program effectiveness and find new opportunities. Identify gaps, implement countermeasures to meet growth targets.
  • Track and report out performance metrics via daily management and monthly dashboards that define future initiatives.
  • Utilize project management tools and methodologies to track progress, identify and mitigate risks and ensure all project campaign deliverables are met.

Skills and Experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information into clear and concise messages.
  • Strong storytelling and content creation abilities, with a keen eye for detail and creativity.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing integrated communication strategies across multiple channels.
  • In-depth understanding of media relations and experience in building and maintaining relationships with journalists and influencers.
  • Proficient in social media management, with a solid understanding of different platforms and their respective audiences.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate and build relationships across all levels of the organization and to influence and lead others often without authority.
  • Proficient in using analytics tools to measure and analyze the effectiveness of communication efforts and make data-driven decisions.
  • Familiarity with crisis communication management and the ability to handle sensitive and high-pressure situations with professionalism and composure.
  • A high degree of initiative, motivation, and accountability for results.
  • Strong computer skills in spreadsheet, presentation, and work processing software (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).


Qualifications


The Marketing Communications and PR Manager will have:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 10+ experience in communications and/or public relations
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing (medical device experience preferred)
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing integrated communication strategies that have positively impacted brand reputation and awareness.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing excellent written and verbal communication skills, including press releases, articles, and social media content.
  • Travel - up to 15% required (mostly US; some global may be required)
