Job Purpose

Mills Entertainment is looking for a detail-oriented Tour and Operations Manager with a track record of forming and maintaining successful relationships, experience with a range of clients and creatives, and a passion for live entertainment.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Operations Manager

·      Collaborate on property strategy and tour planning including, but not limited to, routing, staffing, budgeting, and general planning.

·      Collaborate with Producers on budgets for touring personnel and logistics.

·      Collaborate with Production Manager on assigning coverage for all confirmed engagements and tours.

·      Manage tour and engagement budgets and logistics planning with touring personnel.

·      Procure relevant company-wide insurance policies to ensure organizational compliance.

·      Lead recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and training of touring personnel.

·      Create, maintain, and execute all touring independent contractor agreements.

·      Supervise Mills Entertainment’s touring employees and independent contractors, including operational needs for individual touring units.

·      Review organizational trends and compliance to ensure that Mills Entertainment is up to date with state and federal requirements, along with industry trends.


 Tour Management

·      Serves as Tour Manager for pilots of new touring opportunities.

·      Responsible for the overall touring logistics and planning of assigned tours, including the creation and planning of tour books or itineraries in accordance with budget and company financial standards.

·      Work with the artist’s team to ensure the needs of the artist are met by the venue, promoter, and road team.

·      Advance, coordination and execution of tour elements and logistics for assigned tours and individual engagements.

·      Settle engagement finances on site when required and manage engagement reporting and documentation.

·      Be an ambassador for the company, building relationships and seeking new opportunities with venues and partners.

·      Ability to travel up to 120 days a year.


Required Qualifications

·      5+ years’ experience with Production Coordination, Tour Management and/or Company Management, and Operations Management or a combination. At least three years’ experience in management roles in the live entertainment industry, particularly active touring.

·      Demonstrated ability to be solution-oriented with excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to develop and maintain long-term relationships with our strategic partners.

·      Ability to collaborate with a team, navigating different communication styles, maintaining composure and a high level of customer service.

·      Organized and able to manage multiple priorities applying project management work methods while working autonomously in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment. 

·      High emotional intelligence with excellent communication skills.

·      Proficient in Microsoft Office: PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.

·      Valid driver’s license and ability to tour internationally.

·      This position requires extensive travel; applicants should be prepared to travel up to 120 days per year.

 

Preferred:

·      A Bachelors’ degree in a related field preferred. Extended experience and combination of education may substitute for a degree. 

·      Higher consideration will be given to candidates with several years of touring experience specifically with celebrity clients.

 

Mills Entertainment offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. Compensation for this position is commensurate with experience and ranges from $70,000 to $80,000 annually plus benefits.
