Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Quality Manager to join our client's team. This role is crucial in ensuring that all quality functions within the plant meet the highest standards, covering production, shipping, receiving, and supply chain operations. The Quality Manager will work closely with the CEO and lead safety and housekeeping initiatives while maintaining a strong focus on both internal and external customer issues. As the Compliance Officer and Management Representative, you will be responsible for all quality-related records and reporting, including ISO, AS9100, and ITAR compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Quality Control (QC) inspectors, overseeing their daily schedules, tasks, and priorities.
• Ensure the timely completion of all quality-related tasks and address any quality issues in collaboration with the Production Planner.
• Provide training and development for the quality team, ensuring they are well-equipped to perform their duties.
• Oversee the Non-Conformance Report (NCR) tracker and Corrective Action Requests (CARs), reviewing open items and ensuring timely verification and closure.
• Prepare and present quality assurance-related Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Quarterly Business Review (QBR) meetings.
• Participate in staff meetings with the CEO, contributing to discussions on RAILS, KPIs, and other strategic initiatives.
• Develop and manage the audit schedule for surveillance audits, particularly ISO9001, and assign responsibilities within the team.
• Lead layered audits and ensure compliance with ISO, AS9100, ITAR, and other relevant standards.
• Manage QA SPC software, including tracking CPK index and generating performance graphs.
• Implement and maintain 6S principles within the QC Lab.
• Ensure that all gauges and measuring instruments are calibrated within their due dates.
• Verify time sheets in Epicor for accurate weekly payroll processing.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a leadership role within quality management, preferably in an automotive or aerospace production environment.
• In-depth understanding of quality procedures, measurements, reports, and compliance standards, including ISO, AS9100, and ITAR.
• Strong knowledge of quality aspects in auto/aerospace production and the ability to implement process improvements.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and interpreting customer specifications and industry standards.
• Experience with measuring instruments such as ID/OD micrometers, calipers, snap gauges, bore gauges, CMMs (both manual and CNC), Hoffler gear inspection machines, dial indicators, and tooth veneers.
