Job description
NTX Embedded needs a software engineer who is a guru with Linux. We build custom embedded touch-based controls for industrial and commercial devices. The ideal candidate will know how to develop device drivers, write user space apps, and measure performance. You are interested in the latest cutting-edge technology and are always learning and creating new things. Bonus points for a background in ARM processors, UI development, and experience with embedded systems.
This position is for an engineer who wants to learn and grow their knowledge at a rapid pace. The position requires a self-motivated individual who is interested in creating programs for the newest technology, user interface design and development, developing devices for IoT, and who wants to understand software and hardware systems at a deep level.
We are seeking a person with some job experience who will contribute and grow with our company for many years. Please do not apply if you are seeking an internship, have no job experience, or have not yet graduated.
Job Responsibilities:
Write code in C that works with hardware drivers and other software APIs.
Understand program requirements and create elegant well documented code from high level design specifications
Reproduce and isolate bugs and implement fixes
Integrate, develop, debug and measure linux hardware drivers
Design solutions by integrating new or existing software
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics or related
At least three years writing software for Linux systems in a business environment
Deep experience developing code and drivers for Linux systems
Knowledge of Qt or Crank a big plus
