Job Description

Martin & Associates, PL is hiring an Office Administrator. Hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM on Fridays when not in tax season. We provide medical, 401 (k), holiday and vacation benefits. The hourly rate is $18.00 to $20.00 depending on experience and ability. We are a professional CPA firm and require professional dress for this front desk position.

Office Administrator Job Duties

  • Answer phone and address calls or transfer as appropriate.
  • Greet clients and direct them as appropriate.
  • Ensure that postage machine is working correctly and that there is adequate postage in the machine.
  • Check-in audit/review/compilation engagements and tax returns.
  • Enter new client information; update existing client information while checking in engagements and/or tax returns.
  • Ensure that tax returns are submitted and accepted by the IRS.
  • Process audit/review/compilation engagements and tax returns in a timely manner; coordinate with appropriate staff to ensure that processing and billing is done efficiently.
  • Special projects as directed by senior staff.
  • Check shared printers /copiers daily to make sure that paper and toner is stocked at all times.
