Human Resources Generalist


Location: Wadesboro, NC


Position Overview:

Reporting to the Sr. HR Manager, the HR Generalist works independently as well as collaboratively with others to support and administer talent acquisition, employee engagement, and activities that support attraction and retention of top talent.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides administrative support for some HR and talent work streams. Facilitates new hire orientation and on-boarding. Answers employee inquiries as needed.
  • Manage the requisition process from approval to on-boarding and guiding hiring managers through the selection process.
  • Conduct regular follow up meetings with the respective hiring managers to ensure timeliness and effectiveness of recruitment process.
  • Build data, reporting and insights to measure impact of our talent acquisition processes.
  • Identify and recommend solutions to address challenges and/or opportunities and to streamline and improve recruiting processes.
  • Supports temp administration.
  • Prepares HR Invoices for payment.
  • Maintains employee personnel files.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities:

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information.
  • Advanced in office applications and software, as well as Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS).
  • A team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage competing demands.
  • Self-directed and highly motivated with a strong sense of urgency.
  • High tolerance for ambiguity and a rapidly changing environment.
  • Experience creating and generating Excel spreadsheets (e.g., V-lookup, graphs, pivot tables).


Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ year experience in HR function, 1 year required recruiting experience
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) or equivalent work experience
