TITLE: Quality Control Manager TYPE: Direct Hire LOCATION: Philadelphia, PA ONSITE/REMOTE/HYBRID: 100% on site START DATE: April/May 2024 SHIFT: M-F, 1 st shift with weekends on an as-needed basis
We are looking for a Quality Control Manager to assist with our fresh and frozen meats division. We are a USDA/SQF environment, and you must have experience working in both.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage a team of 10+ quality control analysts.
Run the existing playbook that we have while finding improvements and adding to it. We are not looking for a full rebuild of our processes, however we would like you to add to our existing framework.
Ensure that the plant is always fully compliant with USDA and SQF and interface with regulators.
Oversee the annual SQF audit and conduct regular audits to find areas for improvement.
Collaborate with the Safety Committee to implement improvements.
QUALIFICATIONS
Two+ years of experience in a similar role.
Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Food Science or a related field.
Deep knowledge of USDA regulations and SQF standards or equivalent certification.
Track record of developing and elevating a Quality Control Department.
Strong communication, leadership, and team management skills.
Ability to conduct in-depth risk assessments, audits, and inspections.
