Job Description

This is a full-time non-exempt position. This position provides administrative support to the Associate Provost, the university curriculum committees, and acts as the liaison for the Center of Excellence for Leadership Learning (CELL). This is a grant funded position and is contingent upon ongoing funding.

Serve as the liaison between students of the Center of Excellence for Leadership Learning, directors and administrators of the Center, and representatives of the University from the Office of Admissions, the Registrar’s Office, the Office of Financial Aid, and others as necessary.

Note: It is not mandatory to be a licensed notary public to apply for this job.

Qualifications- Administrative Assistant, Liaison To CELL

  • A minimum of three years of administrative experience required or the completion of a college degree may substitute for administrative experience.
  • High school diploma required; some college preferred
  • Licensed Indiana Notary Public preferred

Responsibilities- Administrative Assistant, Liaison to CELL

  • Support for university-wide processes and practices.
  • Supporting university curriculum committees, scheduling meetings, receiving proposals and preparing agendas, attending meetings and recording and preparing minutes for distribution and posting on MyUIndy.
  • Serve as the liaison between students of the Center of Excellence for Leadership Learning, directors and administrators of the Center, and representatives of the University from the Office of Admissions, the Registrar’s Office, the Office of Financial Aid, and others as necessary.
  • Supporting the administrative needs of the Director of Assessment
  • Supporting the administrative needs of the Associate Provost
  • Follow the guidance and direction of supervisor(s).
  • Sensitivity to matters related to academic integrity, confidentiality, and conflict resolution.
  • Ability to maintain discretion and strict confidentiality regarding records and other information.
  • Demonstrate respectful, ethical, responsible behavior
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills.
  • Interact professionally with a broad range of people including faculty, administrators, students, and members of the Board of Trustees.
  • Abide by the University’s policies, procedures, and rules.
  • Perform employee responsibilities as detailed in employee handbooks and policies.
  • Demonstrate regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.
  • Other duties, including special projects, as required or assigned.
