Position Summary

The Commerce Casino is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager of Network Administration, System Administration, and Information Security to lead and oversee our organization's critical IT infrastructure. This role demands a professional with a strong technical background, strategic thinking, and exceptional leadership skills to ensure the efficient operation, security, and continuous improvement of our network, systems, and data protection measures. This role will report into the Director of Infrastructure & Operations | Information Security | End User Services

Primary Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership:
    • Supervise and mentor network administrators, system administrators, and information security professionals.
    • Foster a collaborative and motivated team environment, encouraging professional growth and development.
  • Network Administration:
    • Manage the design, deployment, and maintenance of the organization's network infrastructure.
    • Oversee network performance, scalability, and availability.
    • Implement best practices for network monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization.
    • Ensure the security and integrity of data transmission across the network.
  • System Administration:
    • Lead the administration and maintenance of servers, operating systems, and virtualization platforms.
    • Manage hardware and software upgrades, patches, and backups.
    • Develop and enforce system administration policies and procedures.
    • Optimize system performance and reliability.
  • Information Security:
    • Develop and implement the organization's information security strategy and policies.
    • Manage and monitor security controls, intrusion detection, and incident response.
    • Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities.
    • Stay up-to-date with emerging cybersecurity threats and best practices.
  • Compliance and Documentation:
    • Ensure the organization complies with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Maintain comprehensive documentation for network configurations, system setups, and security policies.
  • Budget and Resource Management:
    • Develop and manage budgets for network, system, and security-related projects.
    • Allocate resources effectively and procure necessary hardware and software.
  • Vendor Management:
    • Collaborate with vendors and third-party service providers for IT solutions and support.
    • Negotiate contracts and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Incident Response:
    • Lead the response to critical network and system incidents, including security breaches.
    • Implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in network administration, system administration, and information security.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCNP, MCSE, or equivalent.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of network protocols, server systems, and security technologies.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and best practices, including ISO 27001, NIST, and ITIL.
