Who We Are Looking For

The member of the Global Delivery Middle Office team will focus will mainly be around middle office trade management, derivatives and asset valuations. Ideal candidate has varied experience across middle office functions. The individual will review reconciliations to flag issues and high fluctuations in accounts, using existing checks and implementing new checks when needed. Will need to manage high risk processes that span international markets. Ideal candidate has varied experience across middle office functions. The individual is expected to work with little to no oversight, identify and resolve trends, and educate and train staff on new issues once appropriate research has been completed. This is a client-facing role.

What You Will Be Responsible For

As an Associate Vice President

  • Using provided tools, review assigned accounts for issues associated with cash (Overdrafts, reconciliation), positions (trades, other), portfolio pricing, trade allocation, confirmation, correction and settlement, prime broker interfaces, and cash management.
  • Provide daily support for client investment accounts by processing daily subscriptions/redemptions, identifying transaction cost associated, and ensuring that statements accurately reflect capital activity.
  • Contribute to on-going process improvement initiatives to add further control and organization around the trade life-cycle.
  • Assist in developing the operations team through cross-training.
  • Provide periodic control summaries for management review.
  • Identify data or accounts trends for discussion in group meetings.
  • Interact with all middle office teams (Accounting, Corporate Actions, Trading, Performance)
  • Monitor reconciliation reports and explore overlap in checks to streamline processes.
  • Discern high priority items throughout the day and action accordingly; implement additional checks where needed & provide training to the team.
  • Monitor KPIs and provide solutions for improvement.
  • Remain familiar with back-up procedures when system applications and/or transmission problems arise. Assist with trouble-shooting.
  • Build cooperative and professional internal/external relationships achieving group and client goals. Utilize all available resources throughout SSC.
  • Succeed in a global & dynamic environment, including interacting with clients.
  • Take ownership of issues to resolution, engage teams as needed to gain consensus.
  • Track work effort and goals. Daily escalation resolution.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
  • Minimum 8-12 years of Middle Office and/or Front Office support experience.
  • Previous experience with TLM/ RKS/ ESP a plus.
  • Knowledge of securities language preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and attention to details skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communications.
  • Must be deadline oriented with the ability to provide technical expertise to resolve daily problems.

Salary Range

$70,000 - $115,000 Annual
