Manager, Quality Assurance

Background:

KGB Aviation Solutions is a manufacturer of Flight Data / Cockpit Voice Recorder (FDR/CVR) Data Downloading tools and provides associated FDR/CVR data analysis services. The organization is growing rapidly with an increasing global demand for these products and services. To ensure optimal customer satisfaction through continuous improvement, KGB Aviation has a position available for a Quality Assurance Manager to be an integral part of this growth process. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

The Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for the Quality Management System and all of the supporting activities to ensure its compliance including but not limited to:

·      The management of the Quality Management System (QMS) and Quality Plan using the KGB Aviation host software (Core Solutions)

·      The review and execution of the Process Plans in place that support the QMS and Quality Plans

·      The tracking and reporting of Key Performance Indicator (KPI) metrics and corrective actions where appropriate

·      The analysis of quality data collected from the purchasing, receiving inspection, assembly, repair and final test processes for products

·      The management, documenting and development of corrective actions 

·      Participation in Customer Satisfaction Surveys

·      Coordination of internal / external audits with Customers and ISO9001/AS9100D registrar

·      Coordination and presentation of Quality System status to management

·      Lead and provide mentoring to Quality Assurance Inspectors 

·      Conduct offsite audits of select key supplier facilities

·      Screen new suppliers / coordinate vendor surveys

·      Complete Vendor Surveys received from potential new customers

·      Participate in Management Review of Quality System

·      Propose process improvements 

·      Write new procedures as required

Qualifications:

·      Must have excellent interpersonal skills and experience working in a team environment

·      Must have at least 5 years of experience working in an electronics manufacturing organization

·      Six-Sigma certification an asset

·      FAA quality management experience a plus

·      Must possess excellent analytical and reporting skills

·      Must be proficient in developing tracking reports through excel or other project management software

·      Must have excellent communication and writing skills

·      Must feel comfortable in a leadership role and have had experience leading an effort / initiative

·      May include some travel as required to visit with customer – should be agreeable to support on-site visits
