Engineering Manager

What you will own:

• Directly manages 1-n teams (squads) of engineers where each team is focused on delivering value to a functional area of the business.
• Responsible for at least one large scale initiative that requires multiple engineering teams to coordinate together to deliver the project.
• Responsible for executing security-related functions and tasks associated with Security, Availability, Confidentiality, Processing Integrity, Privacy, Oversight of critical service providers.
• Manage time and resources effectively by clearing bottlenecks for teams that report directly to the manager.
• Log at least 40% of available time with coding, prototyping, TAD work, etc
  
  

What you'll need to be successful:

• Proven ability to mentor senior developers
• Strong skills in component and data store architecture
• Strong ability in unit and component testing
• Ability to ascertain, verbalize, and push for data-driven ROI needs, projects, and roadmaps
• Experience with at least one object-oriented backend language
• Experience with relational databases and ability to write performant SQL queries
• Ability to work in an iterative, agile process
• History of leading high-impact projects
• Strong technical front end and architectural lead capability
• Strong ability to understand and write efficient queries - firm understanding of and experience working with large sets of data and all of the considerations that come with it
