Quality Assurance Manager
- Promotes a strong culture of quality and excellence throughout the organization
- Maintains and continuously improves the Quality Management System (QMS) with respect to AS9100.
- Conducts audits and assessment of facilities operations, maintenance execution and troubleshooting to validate process compliance.
- Perform, lead and facilitate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) activities to address customer, internal and supplier non-conformances, including verification activities.
- Generate scientific and summary reports to identify and correct product nonconformance and product quality through root cause analysis, examining quality trends and communicating quality performance.
- Serve as the Quality point of contact for engagements with external customers, auditors, and government inspectors. Ensure company policies and procedures are clearly communicated and that audit requests are fulfilled, and requirements met.
- Coordinate with local staff to ensure compliance standards are maintained. Work cross-functionally to drive regular audits as needed to ensure compliance standards remain in place and are effective.
- Drive a learning culture that embraces standardized work, information flow, problem solving, strategy deployment and continuous improvement
- Provide coaching and mentoring to colleagues regarding lean manufacturing techniques for problem solving and corrective action implementation
- Ensure the organization actively resolves defects through root cause method (process) and drive continuous improvement solutions
- Supports all aspects of production processes including safety, quality, delivery, cost and morale and drive successful implementation of lean manufacturing processes and standards
- Works with Supply Chain Manager to monitor supplier performance, including opening and following through with any supplier corrective actions. Assist with supplier audits; develops and maintains supplier quality system.
- 5+ years quality leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 4-year degree in a technical field is strongly preferred.
- Must have working knowledge of manufacturing and quality processes and principles industry standards. AS 9100 experience preferred
- Must understand various quality methodologies (root cause analysis, 8D, 5-why's, fishbone analysis) and inspection techniques (caliper, micrometer, CMM)
- Must have demonstrated achievement in problem solving with production teams and the ability to form strong relationships with key customers and suppliers.
