Senior Project Manager - Construction

Position Overview

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing and leading multiple commercial construction projects, particularly focused on multi-family, mixed use and commercial buildings. They will be a key member of the project management team, working closely with stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all aspects of assigned projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and procurement.
• Lead project teams and liaise with clients, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure clear communication and successful project delivery.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, monitor progress, and implement adjustments as needed to ensure project milestones are met.
• Oversee budget management, forecasting, and cost control measures to ensure projects stay within budget.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues, and develop contingency plans as needed.
• Monitor and report on project progress and performance to stakeholders.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior project management staff.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years in a senior/leadership role.
• Strong knowledge and experience in commercial construction, particularly multi-family and education facilities.
• Demonstrated ability to successfully manage and deliver multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• PMP or other project management certification is preferred.
