You can track your sleep with Google Fit to better understand your overall health and wellness. For example, you can:
- Ask your Assistant about your sleep data on your Assistant devices. This can include information like sleep duration, schedule, and quality.
- Get personalized suggestions from Google Fit. You might sleep better with these tips about optimal sleep schedules, sleep recommendations, and overall well being.
- Allow Nest Hub to track sounds that interrupt your sleep during Sleep Sensing.
You can change your sleep settings at any time.
Turn off sleep tracking
- On your device, open the Google Fit app .
- At the bottom, tap Profile.
- At the top, tap Settings .
- Under "Tracking preferences," tap Settings for other devices Nest Hub.
- Under “Sleep Sensing,” tap Disable.
- To confirm the selection, tap Disable.
Turn off sleep disturbance tracking
- On your device, open the Google Fit app .
- At the bottom, tap Profile.
- At the top, tap Settings .
- Under "Tracking preferences," tap Settings for other devices and tap your device.
- Under “Track coughing and snoring,” tap Disable.
Turn off Assistant access to sleep data
Important: When you turn off Assistant access to sleep data, you also disable sleep sensing on any Nest devices connected to your Assistant.
- On your device, open the Google Fit app .
- At the bottom, tap Profile.
- At the top, tap Settings .
- Under “Google Fit data and personalization,“ tap Manage Google Assistant.
- Turn off Sleep.
- To confirm, tap Turn off.
Turn off sleep suggestions
Important: When you turn off sleep suggestions, you’ll no longer get personalized suggestions. You might still get general info.
- On your device, open the Google Fit app .
- At the bottom, tap Profile.
- At the top, tap Settings .
- Under “Personalization,” tap Manage personalization.
- Turn off Sleep suggestions.
- To confirm, tap Turn off.
