Overview:

The Manager, Business Process Improvement-DC Ops is a critical member of the Operations team and designer of the next generation Distribution Centers that deliver on best-in-class execution, partners cross functionally to design a DC network that supports the organizations global growth and product line, tracks, and measures overall results. This individual will also be responsible for helping develop and implement strategies that will deliver extraordinary service to our consumers, while improving cost structures (cost per unit shipped and cost as a % of Net Sales) and driving growth. This individual will own the 3PL relationship locally, including execution, P&L, future strategy and results. Additionally, this leader will embody and drive the “maniacally eliminate inefficiencies” objective and mindset. The Manager will leverage a relentless desire to win and drive continuous improvement ethos that seeks the best solution to deliver the world-class results that SharkNinja has consistently generated over the last decade.

Specifically, the Manager, Business Process Improvement/DC Ops will:

  • Drive improvement in the customer experience and service associated with SharkNinja B2B and D2C.
  • Drive improvement in warehousing, KPI’s, handling costs, performance, and customer satisfaction levels across the US.
  • Develop and maintain reporting and dashboards.
  • Develop and lead Continuous Improvement projects across the network.
  • Provide technical leadership for product and distribution strategy.
  • Participate in quarterly business reviews with all 3PL party providers.
  • Provide leadership in defining clear objectives, milestones, and measurements for this organization. Ensure that measurements are in place to track/monitor performance vs. plan and cost effectiveness
  • Be accountable for setting timelines and ROI for global operations spend within the Operations team, processes, initiatives, and deliver results.
  • Partner with leaders in other divisions to share best practices and drive overall global improvement in DC operations
  • Perform full end to end reviews of VAS projects (rework and light manufacturing).

Professional Experience/Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with extensive multi-site, proven experience in organizations known for world-class capabilities and will possess a demonstrated track record of success in driving a high satisfaction customer experience. This leader must be an initiative-taking, action-oriented leader with the ability to quickly solve complex problems. Most importantly, this individual must balance the strategic and hands-on requirements of this position with a flexible working style and a proven ability to influence key internal and external stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS in Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of Engineering and/or Logistics management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in programs such as Lean, Six Sigma or other continuous improvement practices and the ability to employ them in the fulfillment environment.
  • Experience with developing and providing BI solutions, specifically with experience in Microsoft Power BI, DOMO, Tableau, or other BI solutions.
  • Experience with building relationships within the automation, MHE, technology space and leverage those to enable SN and 3PL’s to reshape our DC layout.
  • Experience with modern development methodologies (Agile, Kanban, XP, etc.) and ML / AI
  • Experience working with or managing large distribution teams.
  • Experience in delivering strategic solutions for a truly diverse customer base. Ideally, the successful candidate will have a proven record of accomplishment of delivery against tough odds, the ability to turn chaos into order, repeatedly, and on a large scale.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential. This role will have significant visibility with the Executive team.
  • This leader will have a strong management background with the proven ability to lead cross functionally, providing clear direction and objectives, and inspiring others to take on new challenges and exceed expectations.
  • Demonstrated functional knowledge and experience in all aspects of DC Operations, leading multiple sites with the ability to work cross functionally.
  • Experience in developing a strategic plan for DC Operations that aligns with the corporate strategies and the ability to clearly articulate such a vision.
  • Successful record of accomplishment building DC networks and implementing processes for a rapidly growing company.
  • Experience with Medical Device Classes, Food Grade, Hazardous Materials / Dangerous Goods regulations, and compliance.
  • Successful record of accomplishment in working with and through 3rd party fulfillment and shipping providers to drive operational improvement/efficiency and reduce cost.
  • Ability to communicate for impact, communicating proactively and transparently, listening actively, and speaking respectfully.
  • Operate with a strong work ethic and an unrelenting resolve to follow through and meet commitments.
  • A demonstrated willingness to learn, roll-up their sleeves and set an example as a “doer.”

  • Travel Required - up to 50%
  • Flexible work schedule to accommodate virtual meetings with other regions
