OVERVIEW:

This role will support products for Latin America

5 days on site in Needham, MA

The Ninja Product Test Engineer-Latin America will be working with projects derivative of US and UK/EU products - the main scope of what is needed is to ensure the software and electronics on these projects are validated and confirmed to be correct.  This will primarily be done by UI flow validation, permutation testing, and exploratory and ad hoc testing.

The Ninja Product Test Department’s role is to ensure our customers get the highest-reliability products possible.  We do this through extensive testing of our products as we develop them.  The Product Test Engineer is responsible for owning all testing activities for one or more products in development.  You will support the Test Manager in defining the testing needs of our products, ensuring these test activities are properly run, and reporting out of results. 

Here are some of the EXCITING things you’ll get to do:

• Become a knowledge expert within the Test Team on the Latin America consumer and how their products will be used.
• With guidance from your manager, own all testing activities for your assigned products.
• Create test plans and ensure they are complete and contain enough details related to protocols, data to be collected, and pass/fail criteria.
• Coordinate testing needs with both US and China-based test team resources as well as 3rd party testing companies.
• Under supervision of Test Team management, be a hands-on contributor in designing, setting up, and executing product tests. 
• Perform and/or manage UL flow, permutation, and ad hoc and exploratory testing on your products to ensure proper consumer user experience.
• Organize and report your results to Test Team management and product teams.
• Order materials and equipment needed to perform testing.
• Learn how to use new test equipment and document test protocols. 
  
  

ATTRIBUTES & SKILLS:

• Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in an engineering field
• 1-3 years experience in SQA testing on physical products preferably within the CPG industry 
• You’re a builder or tinkerer – you have a technical mindset and you like to work with your hands
• Ability to clearly document testing expectations to US and China resources
• Strong ability to manage multiple activities at the same time
• Willingness to learn how to use new lab equipment
• Clear written communication especially in documenting the work you’ve done
• Competency with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in engineering 
• Experience with any of the following: Arduino, Raspberry Pi, scripting including Python
