The Event Sales Manager reports directly to the General Manager and supports the operations of sales and events. This role is responsible for both sales and administrative duties such as, but not limited to, networking, answering phones, preparing proposals and contracts, updating banquet event orders for all departments, event prep, attending trade shows and cold/warm sales calls.

The ideal candidate can provide local market expertise and contacts to rapidly grow our birthday party, corporate and social event business. The Event Sales Manager compensation package includes a competitive base salary, 90-day sign on bonus, commission structure and bonus plan with guaranteed commissions earned on events already booked through 2024.

Daily Tasks

  • Support the venue(s) to ensure inquiries and leads are responded to in an enthusiastic and timely
  • Solicit new business through networking and cold calling.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with guests, managers, and employees.
  • Meet with guests for site tours and appointments.
  • Whenever possible, greet guests during their in-house event.
  • Create banquet event orders, update kitchen menus, confirm details with clients and close out
  • Maintain a filing system and sales records, correspondence, and other miscellaneous items.
  • Coordinate with Operations to ensure events are correctly prepared and executed.
  • Various outbound sales campaigns that can range from LinkedIn networking, to cold calling, email marketing, in person sales calls and attendance at local networking events.
  • Attend outside sales and networking events
  • Other duties as assigned.

Musts

  • 1-3 years sales experience within an entertainment concept, theme park or high-volume restaurant
  • Local or State regulation requirements regarding food handling and/or liquor service.
  • Must be able to provide excellent Guest Service
  • Must have excellent time management & follow up skills necessary to perform in a fast paced, high-volume environment.
  • Must have the ability to hold the team accountable, but also motivate and coach the team to strive to the be the best. Servant Leadership works best.
