Sophia Space Inc. (Sophia), a disruptive space infrastructure Pre-Seed company, is pioneering the future by placing data centers in space. So what does it mean to be CEO of Sophia?


You will be at the forefront of a revolutionary shift in the data center industry. You will need to be a visionary leader with the ability to navigate the complexities of a rapidly evolving market. Your role will involve not only strategic leadership and operational oversight but also hands-on engagement with fundraising efforts, stakeholder relationships, and technological innovation. You will lead a dynamic team, driving the company's growth and ensuring its long-term sustainability. Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Set and execute strategic plans to achieve corporate objectives, creating a vision for success
  • Operational Oversight: Oversee the company’s operations to ensure efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources.
  • Financial Management: Manage financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, ensuring the company’s financial health and long-term sustainability.
  • Fundraising: Lead fundraising efforts, including securing investment and building relationships with potential investors.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including investors, partners, and customers.
  • Innovation and Development: Drive innovation and continuous improvement in space infrastructure technology and solutions.
  • Team Leadership: Build, lead, inspire, and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience in an executive role, preferably within the data center or aerospace industries.
  • Strong strategic, operational, and financial management skills.
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building abilities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to foster innovation and drive business growth.
  • Technical experience in the space or data center industry, preferred.
  • Prior experience in fundraising and investor relations.


Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in leadership roles.
  • Proven track record in the data center or space sector, with a deep understanding of the industry dynamics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in managing complex projects and driving technological advancements.


Compensation:

  • Salary Range: $150,000 - $220,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications, pending closure of funding round.
  • Equity: This position is eligible for significant founders equity in the company.
