Design, develop, execute, and maintain automation frameworks and test suites for Web-based, Mobile, and API applications across different platform offerings.
Collaborate with QA engineers, software developers, and product managers to identify, document, and prioritize software defects.
Ensure that the automation framework is up to date and that all changes are properly documented.
Review test reports and follow up on discrepancies
Train automation engineers to use the framework effectively and follow the established process and coding standards.
Cooperate with the QA Lead, development teams, functional teams, and numerous stakeholders of the project as appropriate for the area of work.
Professional Skills
Strong understanding for QA concepts, testing techniques, automation tools and technologies.
15+ year of experience of technical hands-on in developing automation frameworks and tools.
Responsible for design, development & maintenance of the Test Automation framework (frontend, API, backend)/ harness and any tools required
Experience web-based automation using Selenium/Playwright or equivalent, API Based automation using Python, SoapUi, or equivalent.
Expert-level programming skills in one or more of the following languages: TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, C#, or Java
Expertise in designing and implementing parallel testing capabilities with tools like Selenium Grid
Good hands-on knowledge on SQL queries and cloud technologies
Should possess knowledge of popular and emerging open source/commercial tools automation tools and their technology stacks.
Good knowledge of build management and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, Gitlab
Need to serve as an expert in identifying suitable technologies, tools, or Automation Frameworks, in line with latest industry trends
Ability to study, understand and propose efficient test automation solutions and create state of the art assets.
Experience in providing end-to-end technical support for testing engagements.
Should have great presentation and technical documentation skills.
Ability to provide technology leadership for enhancing test automation capability at program level.
Ability to communicate to stakeholders in the QA Automation Team, Architecture Team and Engineering teams on any technical decisions around QA Automation Frameworks, Techniques, or execution technologies.
