The General Manager (GM) is responsible for overseeing the management of a high-rise office building. This includes achieving financial goals, operational objectives, and client and tenant satisfaction. They work closely with clients to understand their investment objectives and develop strategic plans for the property. The GM also manages the property team and ensures the successful implementation of approved initiatives and programs. Effective communication with building owners and tenants is a crucial part of the role.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Operations: Inspecting the property, coordinating maintenance and repair projects, managing construction projects, and overseeing lease discussions and negotiations.
  • Financial: Overseeing real estate tax processes, tenant rent collections, budgeting, financial reporting, and capital improvement planning.
  • Client/Tenant Services: Implementing tenant retention programs, coordinating property alterations and maintenance, meeting regularly with tenant representatives, and handling tenant issues and complaints.
  • Leadership Management: Establishing goals and objectives for employees, conducting performance evaluations, developing training programs, and cross-selling JLL services.

What You Bring To The Table

  • Solid understanding of commercial real estate, property management, leasing, financial analysis, and customer service.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in financial calculations and analysis.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 7 years of commercial real estate or property management experience.
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience managing a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and budget applications.
  • Ability to travel within the local region.
  • Real Estate License (to be obtained within the first 6 months of assuming the position).
