Job Description
Vuori is looking for a channel-focused finance leader to drive the financial forecasting, analysis, and reporting for all commercial channels at Vuori, including eCommerce, Retail, Wholesale and International. Leading monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance management and forecasting, the role will provide best practices and insights to enhance the finance and channel relationship. Vuori is a fast-growing business with opportunities to build and enhance processes for scale. As a result, this role will require an enthusiastic, outgoing, and detail-oriented team player who has a strong experience in large retail/DTC businesses to draw from and apply to new and existing processes. Leading a team of 3, this role will be a key player in building a strong and scalable FP&A framework at Vuori.

Qualifications
What you'll get to do:
Financial Planning and Forecasting:
- Lead the development of annual operating budgets, sales forecasts, and trend based rolling forecast, incorporating seasonality, trends, strategic objectives, and market dynamics for each channel.
- Partner with channel stakeholders to validate commercial trends against channel-developed forecasts, driving consensus towards an achievable and beatable forecast.
- Collaborate with merchandising, marketing, and e-commerce teams to align financial plans with business strategies and sales targets connected to the annual operating plan.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance, inventory levels, and channel contribution to optimize revenue and margins.
- Conduct detailed financial analysis to evaluate customer profitability, promotional/discount strategies, customer lifetime value and related investments.
- Perform variance analysis, trend analysis, and scenario modeling to assess the impact of business decisions on financial performance.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization and operational efficiency improvements.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual comprehensive financial reports, and presentations for senior management and stakeholders, highlighting key performance metrics and actionable insights, integrating the channel story with financial performance.
- Communicate financial results, forecasts, and recommendations in a clear and concise manner, fostering collaboration and informed decision-making.
- Create a consistent way of working between finance and channel leaders, enhancing channel ownership of KPI delivery, enriched by finance insights and monitoring.
- Continuously enhance financial planning and analysis processes, tools, and systems to streamline workflows and improve accuracy.
- Build and develop a high-performing team, providing guidance, professional development opportunities, and leadership that fosters a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Foster growth and best practices within the FP&A team, providing a collaborative and idea-encouraging environment to challenge points of view and generate the best product for communicating insights and enhancing business decision making.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
- 10+ years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in the retail or apparel industry.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting techniques, and data analysis tools (excel a must).
- A strong ability to create new processes or data insights from raw data or high-volume data in a concise, consistent, and summarized way.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Strategic mindset with a focus on driving business outcomes and delivering actionable insights.
- Leadership experience, including the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing FP&A team in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with retail metrics, including comparable store sales, gross margin, inventory turnover, and customer acquisition cost, customer lifetime value, with an ability to manage forecasting against metrics at large scale.
- Understanding of consumer behavior, market trends, and competitive landscape in the apparel industry.
- Experience with retail-specific ERP systems, POS systems, and e-commerce platforms is advantageous.
- Experience with an EPM tool, with involvement in implementation a plus
- CPA, CFA, or relevant professional certification is a plus.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment and adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
