Technical Production Associate

Position Summary:

Responsible for performing technical configuration work on Laptops, Desktops, and Tablets in a secure location or on a production line. The technical Production Associate has the ability to follow detailed work instructions, troubleshooting instructions, and escalation flows.

Responsibilities:

• Material handling of devices to move from forward locations to production areas.
• This includes the unboxing and re-boxing of devices and peripherals.
• This may also include kitting multiple items into a single box.
• Correctly deploy customer driven task sequences according to detailed work instructions.
• Apply asset tags to specific devices based on work instructions.
• Deploy or configure customer BIOS settings based on work instructions.
• Follow proper diagnostics and escalation processes based on configuration type and end customer.
• Ability to accurately track time in Premier HRIS based on a shared customer environment.
• Work within Premier WMS and Shopfloor systems as indicated in the work instructions.
  
  
  

Skills and Specifications Required:

• Must have 6+ months experience working in a technical PC environment supporting Windows 8/8.1/10/11 clients.
• Solid judgment and Dell Certified in desktop/laptop diagnosis and repair are a big plus.
• Experience with configuring PC’s, Laptops, and tablets.
• Demonstrated excellence as an empowering and flexible employee in a dynamic, fast paced, hands-on, high stress environment.
• Experience in a production-based environment is a plus.
• Comp Tia A+ or equivalent experience a big plus.
• Solid judgment, problem solving, decision-making skills and a proven record of taking the initiative and responsibility in using those skills effectively; both individually and as a member of a team.
• Detail oriented with the ability to learn detailed processes and methodologies.
• Accurately communicate pertinent information to create a work environment that lends itself to the best interests of departmental personnel and customer service.
  
  
  

Physical Requirements, with or without accommodation:

• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds.
• Frequent walking, bending, and kneeling; under desks for example.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as determined by Production Management to meet customer demand.
