IT Audiovisual Specialist

The IT Audiovisual (A/V) Specialist is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting for all audio-visual equipment in our organization. This includes providing all aspects of support and technical assistance on an advanced level. As the A/V Specialist, you will ensure that web conferencing and A/V components are operational in all conference rooms on a daily basis. This role will also support specialized meetings like Town Halls and Board Meetings by operating conference room A/V resources like audio systems and cameras.

What you'll be doing:

  • Install, configure, and maintain audio-visual equipment, including projectors, screens, speakers, microphones, and cameras
  • Setup and calibrate equipment for use
  • Maintain inventory of all A/V assets, including cameras, schedulers, control tablets, amplifiers, speakers, microphones, remotes, etc.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues with audio-visual equipment such as video cameras, sound systems, and display systems
  • Operate equipment as needed for various meetings and events
  • Provide technical support to employees experiencing issues with A/V and web conferencing solutions
  • Provide training and guidance to users on how to use the company's audio-visual equipment
  • Maintain and update documentation on A/V and web conferencing solutions
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest audio-visual and web conferencing technologies
  • Make suggestions for equipment and user education improvement to reduce recurrence of common issues
  • Work with vendors to procure and maintain audio-visual equipment
  • Run a daily checklist of all A/V equipment in all conference rooms throughout headquarters
  • Adhere to all safety and compliance regulations
  • Document all A/V work in the corporate ticketing system, communicating with users on ticket progress
  • Escalate to Administrators, Engineers, and vendors as necessary to resolve more complex issues
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What we look for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field preferred or combination of education, training, and experience
  • 3+ years of experience supporting A/V and web conferencing solutions
  • 1+ years of experience supporting Microsoft Teams meetings
  • 1+ years of experience supporting Zoom meetings
  • 1+ years of experience supporting Google Meet meetings
  • Basic understanding of network concepts, e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi
  • Proficiency connecting to and supporting meetings with both Windows and macOS operating systems
  • Experience operating Logitech Rally PTZ cameras
  • Familiarity with Mersive Solstice Pods and wireless presentation gateways for screen sharing
  • Experience installing and managing Apple TV 4K streaming devices
  • Familiarity with presentation switchers, transmitters, and receivers
  • Experience operating ceiling speakers, expansion microphones, microphone arrays, and audio amplifiers
  • Familiarity with audio DSP processors and AVB interfaces
  • Experience managing Crestron room schedulers, control processors, tabletop touch panels, and decoders
  • Experience managing 4k projectors
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Biamp Audio DSP hardware
  • Experience with Vaddio and PTZ Optics camera systems
  • Any Microsoft certification, e.g., MCSA: Windows 10, MCSE: Desktop Infrastructure is preferred
  • Any CompTIA certification, e.g., CompTIA A+, ComptTIA Network+, CompTiA Security+ is preferred
  • Any version of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework
  • Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) in A/V to automate tasks, improve decision-making, and enhance user experiences
  • Integrating augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) technologies in A/V to create immersive and interactive experiences
  • Using blockchain to secure to secure and authenticate A/V content and transactions
  • Moving A/V processing and storage closer to the edge of the network to reduce and improve performance
  • Connecting A/V devices to the IoT to enable remote monitoring, control, and automation
  • Integrating A/v technologies with Unified Communications and Collaboration (UCC) platforms to enable seamless communication and collaboration between users
  • Delivering A/V content and services from the cloud to reduce costs and improve scalability
  • Any Microsoft certification, e.g., MCSA: Windows 10, MCSE: Desktop Infrastructure is preferred
  • Any CompTIA certification, e.g., CompTIA A+, ComptTIA Network+, CompTiA Security+ is preferred
  • Multilingual a plus

Working Conditions:

  • Schedule: Typically requires regular office hours, but may require meetings with global counterparts or clients outside of regular office hours
  • Physical Requirements: Lift up to 50 lbs . Must be able to stand, walk, sit, hear, see, reach with hands and arms, frequently. Must be able to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl occasionally. Must be able to drive, and have a current valid driver's license
  • Travel Required: Yes, some national and international travel may be required on occasion

Base salary may vary based on experience, role tenure, performance, industry, and location. Eligibility for annual performance incentives may apply. Jazwares is a multi-state employer, salary range may not apply to other states.
