About Monterey Bay F.c.
On February 1, 2021, the United Soccer League (USL) announced Monterey Bay Football Club (Monterey Bay F.C.) joined the USL Championship for the 2022 season. The club plays on the campus of California State University, Monterey Bay (CSUMB) and privately invested millions to upgrade the existing facilities of what is now known as Cardinale Stadium, to bring the venue’s capacity to 6,000. Monterey Bay F.C. is led by Owner and Chairman Ray Beshoff, who alongside a dedicated group of local investors, revealed the club’s official crest and colors in July 2021; a crest that was designed by and for the regional community. The club’s soccer operations are led by two-time MLS Coach of the Year Frank Yallop who serves as Sporting Director and Head Coach for the club, and Assistant Coach Ramiro Corrales, who is from Salinas. Position Summary
The Sales Manager, Corporate Partnerships position will primarily be responsible for generating new business revenue with local, regional and national companies through the sale of integrated sponsorship packages. Working in a small team and reporting to the Vice President, Corporate Partnerships, the ideal candidate will be a “sales focused” producer whose core responsibility will be to identify, develop and close on new business.
The Sales Manager, Corporate Partnerships will sell fully-integrated partnership programs that will include products such as field signage, stadium signage, media advertisements, interactive fan experiences and specific partnership asset rights across a full range of corporate targets.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Identify and research key open categories and new categories as prospective new business leads. Establish strong working relationships with local, regional and national companies to understand individual marketing and business goals and initiatives.
- Prospect, solicit and close corporate sponsorship sales. Daily activity includes; prospecting via phone, email, LinkedIn messages, business networking meetings.
- Perform off site and on site sales presentations to perspective clients.
- Develop customized proposals and sales presentations for new business prospects.
- Close new partnership sales and generate immediate revenue.
- Provide weekly reports and updates on progress. Meet and exceed agreed sales goals and objectives from an agreed target plan
- Coordinate inventory sales and assignment with VP.
- Work closely with other members of the Monterey Bay F.C. team to achieve goals while meeting personal sales and account management objectives.
- Work game days, weekends, and special events to entertain existing partners and new business prospects.
- Renew and grow existing corporate sponsorship and media partnerships through continued outstanding service and upselling of additional partnership assets into current partnership agreements.
$40,000-50,000 base salary based on experience plus commissions

- Demonstrated success in the media, sport or entertainment fields is preferred
- Experience in the California marketplace is preferred
- Outstanding communication skills are essential for interactions with clients, operational leaders and other senior executives
- Demonstrated professional sales presentation skills
- Track record in closing and consistently achieving and exceeding revenue targets
