Job Summary

The Senior Integrated Media Planner (SIMP) is responsible for the strategic development and execution of integrated media opportunities with current clients, as well as the management/oversight of the media planning, buying, implementation, and performance analysis for their campaigns. This is a strategic and executional role, reporting to the Associate Director, Integrated Media Planning, and working closely with the extended Integrated Media team and designated Client Leaders. The SIMP is expected to continuously challenge themselves, their client(s) & agency counterparts to unite to develop relevant, original, and impactful media strategies and test & learn opportunities that span the full spectrum of media.

• Demonstrate the mission, vision, values, and culture principles of BC Worldwide

• Partner with Associate Director, as needed, to develop and implement media strategies

• Seek advice and counsel from SVP, Integrated Planning (SVIP), for proper development of integrated media briefs, objectives & strategies to ensure a strong foundation on which to build an integrated plan.

• Develop and implement integrated media strategies—partnering with the Associate Director, and SVIP.

• Manage the day-to-day strategic media planning activities for assigned account(s) while engaging oversight and support of Assoc Director, when necessary.

• Collaborate with the Integrated Media team and agency cross-functional teams on the development of integrated media campaign strategies and tactical considerations for clients, and be able to speak to the unique ways different strategies and tactics work within a campaign structure

• Uncover / understand client objectives, challenges and needs as it pertains to Integrated Media

• Responsible for Integrated Media brief co-development, strategic approach, vendor/partner/publisher proposal evaluation & negotiation, media recommendation development, and presentation to clients

• Responsible for campaign oversight; inclusive of, but not limited to regularly reviewing performance with analytics team, optimizations, implications, tracking of the budget and media spends & ensuring proper billing

• Develop strong knowledge of the changing media landscape by networking, meeting with and building relationships with new vendor / partners, etc.; understanding the benefits between working with different vendors and be able to clearly provide strategic rationale for all vendor recommendations

• Develop & share media POV’s as needed (both internally & client facing)

• Based on client and internal project demands, additional duties may be assigned

• Must be able to travel occasionally overnight and on weekends

• Comply with all corporate and departmental standard operating procedures

• Responsible for maintaining up to date weekly time tracking, per the Agency’s time tracking policy


Qualifications:

Education, Experience and Certifications

• Education: bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university preferred

• 4+ years of relevant media planning experience required; 2+ years in a media planning role

• Demonstrated knowledge of both offline and online media and analytics

• Demonstrated experience with shopper marketing

• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of digital disciplines including, but not limited to display, online video, CTV, rich media, programmatic, social media, influencer media, SEM, digital coupons, ad operations etc.

• Demonstrated understanding of media planning, negotiation, implementation, and performance analysis

• Experience writing and selling in proposals/plans for integrated media efforts
