Basic Function

Card Operations Servicing Analysis (COSA) Consulting: This position provides onsite card operations and servicing analysis review for assigned 3rd party vendors to credit unions. Incumbent will provide in-depth analysis and reporting that include findings on internal credit union back-office card operations, fraud risk analysis, potential savings of cost and time, training needs, solution suggestions, and card operations best practices to enhance card operations and servicing. Incumbent will follow-up with credit union to determine appropriate next steps. Results presentation will provide guidance on any systems and/or operational best practices along with refresher and/or net new training programs to directly impact performance improvement. The incumbent will provide Card Operations and Servicing Analysis report(s) to appropriate Velera & CU stakeholders, Account Executives, Service Executives, and the Senior Leadership team. Contact Center / Operations Optimization Consulting: The position will also provide support to the Contact Center Optimization / Operations practice through research, fieldwork participation, mystery shopping calibration and delivery of recommendations. Other Consulting and Educational Functions: The position will also provide support to other consulting areas within Advisors Plus – both existing offerings and future offerings, along with potential guest speaking, white paper/publishing and industry specific advisement. Serve as an educational expert involved with developing and delivering card management education curriculum to Owner credit unions and Velra teams.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Interface with the leadership and staff of Member Credit Unions to present effective card operations and servicing analysis and other consulting services.
  • Deliver ongoing training to select Advisors Plus associates with respect to card operations and servicing analysis as to provide for future expansion of the COSA offering.
  • Co-create and co-deliver training curriculum for internal and external clients through the forthcoming Advisors Plus Academy.
  • Serve a supporting role in the Advisors Plus Contact Center / Operations consulting practice area.
  • Provide support in developing and launching our forthcoming Advisors Plus Cyber-security practice.
  • Provide other consulting services as required in support of existing and new practice areas to be developed and launched.
  • Maintain certification in distance learning WEB facilitation, in both content and technical application, with proven learning transfer techniques.
  • Maintain certification in member technical curricula, which may include certification in consulting skills, and maintain proficiency; this will include Credit/Debit/eCommerce certification.
  • Maintain knowledge of proven techniques and theories of adult learning for development and implementation of training programs; monitor business and professional trends to become familiar with training techniques that should be implemented to foster company goals and mission.
  • Provide assistance as necessary, for CU Learning and Member-owner credit union staff training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Specifications

  • Master’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Eight (8) years professional experience required.
  • Six (6) years’ experience in the card industry preferred.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, work in fast-paced environment, and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated excellent analytical and quantitative skills
  • Ability to exercise initiative, discretion, and independent judgment in making decisions that could impact member-owner relationships, and interact effectively and positively with all levels of personnel, and credit unions
  • Advanced working knowledge of PC with proficiency in MS Office applications; Word, Access, PowerPoint and Excel spreadsheet applications; ability to learn and use software technologies and systems, including WEB delivery applications
  • Minimal travel may be required
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of materials handled
  • Ability to be flexible and work under high pressure in a complex environment

Actual Pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
