RF SiP Validation/Optimization Engineer

Responsibilities

Job Description

  • You will be a key member of product development engineering team with responsibility for RF SiP Test, Validation and Performance Optimization, Engineering down-selection, tuning, and characterization.
  • Execute RF test plans to help prove device performance.
  • Process data, prepare test reports, and optimize the performance of the product together with design engineering teams.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting and running setup validation tests to guarantee Accuracy and Repeatability.
  • Demonstrated ability to be an effective problem solver, proactive process owner, and a self-starter.
  • With your strength, the final product will have the winning performance and best in class datasheet.
  • Understanding and implementing Global Wireless Standards is an essential asset in conducting the daily tasks.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years of experience in RF component testing
  • 5+ years of experience in high-performance mixed-signal IC lab characterization and testing
  • Familiar with common programming languages such as LabView and python, and experience with databases such as SQL and MySQL
  • Proficient with test equipment including RF sources, pulse generators, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, vector network analyzers, power meters, power supplies, and digital multi-meters
  • Knowledgeable in RF Test. Testing includes s-parameters, noise figure, power, pulsed power, TOI, DEVM and harmonics to mention some.
  • Knowledgeable in GPIB, IEEE 488.2, serial communications
  • In depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills
  • Operate independently with minimal supervision

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $110,600 - $210,600 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S. Benefits include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, parental leave), among others. Employees are eligible to participate in an incentive plan, and certain roles are also eligible for additional awards, including recognition and stock.
