Sales Manager

Trolley is on the lookout for our first Sales Manager to help lead our Account Executive team in a highly competitive space. We're looking for a player-coach to lead our team from the front-lines. Our sales team is small and highly skilled and we need a leader to continue to inspire them and drive a sense of urgency. Reporting directly to the VP of Revenue, this position demands frequent dialogue with senior leadership to evaluate and optimize the sales team's effectiveness.

Businesses use Trolley to automate and manage payouts, collect recipient tax and banking information, and mitigate fraud and risk. It is the go-to payouts solution for hundreds of businesses like Canva, Soundcloud, and Envato, ensuring creators, artists, and suppliers get paid effeciently. Trolley has processed millions of payments, supporting musicians, artists, makers, vendors, and suppliers worldwide.

In your role, you will:

  • Enhance prospecting efficiency through close collaboration with the Account Executives.
  • Support Account Executives in sharpening their discovery skills, with a focus on identifying key strategic issues.
  • Assist in improving individual forecasting accuracy for reliable projections and strategic planning.
  • Work with the product teams to come up with and put into action a better way of giving exciting product demonstrations to potential customers.
  • Collaborate with our Product team to develop a continuous training program for improving product knowledge.
  • Collaborate closely with the VP of Revenue to refine and execute our enterprise sales strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Prioritize taking action, making swift and decisive decisions even when faced with uncertainty.
  • Build on our culture of excellence and drive a sense of urgency amongst the team
  • Uphold company values by consistently prioritizing integrity and ethical conduct in all decisions and actions.

About You:

  • Possession of a bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Experienced in selling to or managing sellers who target enterprise-level customers, especially within our key markets.
  • Comfortable navigating complex, large-scale deals (over $250k) involving financial and product experts.
  • Strong technical skills, proficient in using tools like SFDC, Gong, and Apollo for analyzing performance and identifying trends. Familiarity with our tech stack (SFDC, Gong, Apollo) and the ability to work in staging and demo environments would be helpful.
  • Results-driven with a track record of executing plans effectively and seizing opportunities quickly.
  • A seasoned leader who can lead by example, offering guidance and support while also being hands-on.
  • Thrive in fast-paced environments, seeing change as a chance for growth and innovation.
  • Passionate about achieving sales excellence and dedicated to continuous learning and improvement.
  • Previous experience in managing Enterprise AE teams engaged in both inbound and outbound sales is a big plus.
  • Committed to making ethical decisions consistently, even in tough situations.
  • Willing to prioritize the company's goals over individual or team interests, showing a 'company-first' attitude.
