About The Job

This position is responsible for the Northeast (NY, MA, CT, RI, NH, VT, ME ) and the ideal candidate resides in New York, Massachusetts or the defined market.

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for new business and revenue generation, setting direction & managing execution of sales plans, and overseeing all sales and distribution activities within their assigned region.

Responsibilities

  • Team Management: Lead, coach, and develop a team of Field Sales Managers and District Sales Managers to drive and execute regional sales strategies to meet revenue targets. Manage expectations with direct reports to ensure they are meeting KPI objectives and performing all the functions associated with the role. Monthly 1-on-1 check in meetings in support of performance management and gaps.
  • Distributor Partner Management: Execute all aspects of the annual sales plan with the distributor network. Develop relationships with Senior Level distributor partners (DP), systems to benchmark and establish clear expectations for DP performance, lead Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews with DP’s to drive KPI’s/brand revenue goals, and analyze the distributor structure & making recommendations to the DP. Drive alignment, track and manage expectations to meet On & Off Premise, Chain & Independent objectives, to include, INBI, Programming, ABP KPI’s, etc.
  • Analyze market trends, identify growth opportunities, collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment of sales efforts with overall company objectives.
  • P&L Management: Create accurate and timely sales forecasts, progress of spending and profitability against targets.
  • Distributor order and inventory management to support ABP, market needs and revenue forecast. Effectively manage A&P and T&E budgets.
  • Drive and manage revenue targets with key regional accounts and high value independent accounts. Initiate and build retail programs locally that support company objectives to enhance and drive new business opportunities.
  • Travel 50%+ of the time.

Knowledge, Skills, & Experience

Education & Experience:

  • 5-7 years of experience in CPG sales with 3+ years progressing in sales distribution leadership roles
  • Strong distributor management skills; outstanding sales & distribution management experience & achievement
  • Setting, tracking & measuring KPI’s; Measuring progress vs plan

Essential Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint, VIP, Karma, Power BI, Nielsen, IRI data
  • Proficient in VIP/Karma, Neilson, IRI
  • Valid driver's license
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations
  • Strong Leadership skills to provide mentoring, training & performance management
  • Strong business acumen in planning, analyzing, and market strategy
  • Financial, analytical, mathematical problem-solving skills
  • Excellent presentation skills - both written and verbal
  • Working knowledge and experience with Key Account Management
  • Excellent negotiator & influencer
  • Entrepreneurial, solution-oriented, strategic mindset to take initiative and consult with DP’s in joint

Physical Demands

  • Able to travel 50%+
  • Ability to walk, sit, and stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to carry equipment and product up to 50lbs

The typical salary range for this position is : $106k - $130k.

The actual salary offer will take into account multiple factors including skills, experience, education and location. Please note that the salary details listed in role postings reflect the base salary only, not total compensation, which includes equity and benefits.
