Your Mission:

The Technical Solutions Manager (TSM) will spearhead and support the regional growth of our organization, aligning with our company's purpose, values, and quality standards. Key responsibilities include collaborating with Senior Project Managers, the Regional Growth Manager, and the Regional Business Unit Leader to convert sales opportunities into contracts in the Cape and Southshore areas of the Northeast. Additionally, the TSM will work closely with WED’s Founder to foster trusted advisor relationships with clients and deliver comprehensive ecological solutions. Within one year you will be expected to develop planting strategies that meet local regulatory requirements, client viewshed goals, and enhance ecological uplift.


Outcomes you will Deliver:

  • Provides technical leadership on sales opportunities, predominantly for living shoreline restorations.
  • Networks and serves as the liaison for commercial clients who retain WED as a subcontractor, as well as with other professionals to secure new project opportunities and expand our professional network of business referrals
  • Collaborates with Project Managers and Design Staff to provide critical information for project estimates and proposals
  • Influences and promotes the expansion or establishment of business opportunities through partnering relationships with potential clients and coordinated efforts with other WED and Ecotone service offerings.
  • Participates in the company’s prompt response to new project leads. Attends initial meetings with potential clients to assess the needs & viability
  • Manage and execute on territory sales and growth goals annually


Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree coupled with 10-15+ years in ecological restoration. Undergraduate or Master’s degree in environmental science or engineering a plus.
  • Experience with Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act, regulations, and policies, as well as local wetlands protection bylaws and regulation and conservation commission project review procedures
  • Extensive experience with native plant communities, invasive plant management, ecological restoration, and bioengineering construction
  • Experience with Direct to Consumer (DTC) and can quickly get up to speed with customer needs
  • Ability to provide leadership and work respectfully as a team with co-workers.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills
