Analyst, Asset Management

Responsibilities

RFM manages several investment vehicles that acquire, renovate, and operate multifamily properties, with approximately 10,000 units owned across these investment vehicles today. This Analyst will focus on all aspects of real estate asset management. This Analyst will support RFM’s asset managers to directly oversee capital spend, monitor operational performance, and create value at the property-level, as well as provide accurate, informative, and efficient portfolio-level reporting. Responsibilties include:


  • Perform monthly financial review and analysis on an asset-by-asset basis
  • Develop ad hoc excel models to examine operations efficiency or evaluate value-add initiatives
  • Author quarterly presentation detailing actuals versus underwriting and budget
  • Participate in strategic direction of the assets as it relates to income optimization and expense control
  • Produce and review performance against operational benchmarks and track capital spend


Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics or similar field
  • 1-3 years of experience preferred in banking, brokerage, corporate finance, asset management, private equity or multifamily real estate
  • Strong quantitative, financial analysis and modeling skills
  • Exceptional time management and prioritization to manage multiple projects with significant responsibilities and competing deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including demonstrated ability to multitask with several parties involved to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • A passion for real estate, an active entrepreneurial mind, and a strong work ethic to succeed in a dynamic environment
  • Travel may be required on a quarterly basis for owned-assets
