Position Overview:

Are you a passionate and strategic fundraiser with a knack for building lasting

relationships? HousingPlus seeks an energetic and visionary Director of Foundation

and Corporate Support to join our team. Reporting to the Vice President of

Development and Communications, you will be at the forefront of securing and

managing our private support from foundations and corporate partners. This pivotal role

involves renewing current funding, identifying new opportunities, crafting compelling

proposals, and ensuring meticulous reporting.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Craft high-quality, persuasive proposals that captivate funders and manage all

preparation, submission, and reporting aspects.

  • Unearth and cultivate new foundation and corporate funding sources, maintaining a

detailed and dynamic prospecting matrix.

  • Lead the development and approval process for program budgets, applications, and

stewardship materials.

  • Orchestrate a comprehensive calendar of proposals, ensuring no opportunity is

missed.

  • Develop and implement innovative systems for reporting reminders and templates,

keeping the team ahead of deadlines.

  • Collaborate with the development and finance teams to prepare and review financial

reports and adjust grant budgets as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with 3-5 years of direct experience in fundraising or

grant writing.

  • Demonstrated success in writing clear, concise, and visually appealing proposals and

reports, preferably for a social services nonprofit.

  • Proven track record of securing foundation and corporate grants, especially within the

New York City landscape.

  • Deep understanding of private grant proposal submissions, funder selection criteria,

and post-award expectations.

  • Familiarity with city, state, and federal RFPs and grant procedures is a plus
  • Ability to thrive under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and maintain a calm,

professional demeanor.

  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with keen attention to

detail.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of working independently and

as part of a team.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database management, preferably

Salesforce.
