This role is located within the DUV Light Source division in San Diego where the Group lead will lead a test automation group which develop software (Labview and Python) and hardware testing modules to test and measure key metrics for our Light sources. The Test Automation group comprises of a mix of software development and testing competencies and and works with multifunctional groups across engineering.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Establish direction and roadmap for the team to meet the goals of the larger organization.
  • Manage a team that designs, develops and qualifies test automation software and equipment.
  • Build and develop a high performance team who can successfully meet current and future goals.
  • Act as a role model, coach, and motivator to lead team in obtaining objectives.
  • Establish and maintain best practices in process, and ensure quality of deliverables.
  • Work with key cross functional stakeholders to align schedules and deliverables to ensure successful product delivery.
  • Ensure equipment and software are fully documented and qualified in advance of release.
  • Peform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s or high degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience leading teams or projects.
  • A minimum of 7+ years working in software development.

Skills

  • Well-organized and strategic planning are requisite for this role in order to ensure products meet the requirements for performance, reliability, and time-to-market.
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle, management methodologies, and software competencies and skillsets.
  • Understanding of engineering test equipment and testing methodologies.
  • Ability to understand and solve problems and lead others using problem solving methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence effectively in a large organization spanning multiple teams of hardware, software, algorithms and systems engineers and stakeholders.
  • Ability to present on complex technical subjects clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to lead and develop people effectively.

Other information

  • This position is located on-site in San Diego, California. It requires onsite presence to attend in-person work-related events, trainings and meetings and to further ensure teamwork, collaboration and innovation.
  • A flexible workplace arrangement may be available to employees working in roles conducive to remote work (up to 2 days a week)
  • Routinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch. Occasionally required to move around the campus.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be willing to work in a clean room environment, wearing coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses and gloves for entire duration of shift.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely is required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch.

Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.

Employees will also receive eight (8) hours of vacation leave every month and (13) paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
