We foster an inclusive culture and are looking for diverse, talented people to join Alcon. As a Director, Global Audit supporting Quality Assurance Compliance, you will be trusted to assist in the development and management of the corporate audit program at Fort Worth, TX.

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Plan, schedule, and implement internal and external GMP/PV audits with a primary focus on manufacturing site audits, including unplanned/for-cause/focused audits.
  • Lead and/or implement global audit-based projects; and act as global audit SME for audit QMS and management assigned topics.
  • Conduct detailed global corporate audits on Alcon or contracted medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturers. Assigned audits may also include contract laboratories, suppliers, service providers, vigilance operations, distribution centers, and affiliates.
  • Represent Alcon audit function in external industry and health authority working teams and related conferences and workshops as appropriate.
  • Facilitate between site internal auditor community and corporate audit team to drive consistent implementation of identified projects & improvements across corporate/site internal/supplier external audits.
  • Provide objective written audit reports in a timely manner for audit targets based on regulatory and Alcon corporate requirements as well as internal needs; work with auditees to ensure proper and effective CAPAs.
  • Perform focused or for-cause site audits as needed by Quality Management
  • Develop and deliver training on audit-related topics to global audit or community.
  • Act as internal group SME for HA/NB audit trends and SME for assigned gap assessments for regulation changes and other topics as assigned by management.
  • Provide global audit consultation and compliance mentorship, to sites as needed. Coordinating with manufacturing management to establish practices and procedures that apply to applicable regulations.
  • Review regulatory requirements, standards, and inspection trends for incorporation into Alcon audit procedures and practices and give feedback to the wider audit community.
  • Follow all applicable company procedures and policies, cGMPs, and any other applicable external quality and regulatory requirements.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +18 yrs.; Assoc.+14 yrs.; M.S.+7 yrs.; PhD+6 yrs.)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
  • 10 Years of Relevant Experience
  • 6 Years of Demonstrated Leadership
  • Travel Requirements: 50%

Preferred Qualifications/Skills/Experience

  • Medical Device and/or Pharmaceutical Manufacturing experience preferred.
