Talent Management Specialist

The Talent Specialist plays a critical role in enhancing the organization’s effectiveness and adaptability by focusing on key areas such as performance management, succession planning, and HR analytics.  The Talent Specialist assists the Director Talent Management in ensuring that the workforce is well-prepared to meet both current and future business challenges.  This involves identifying and nurturing high-potential team members, providing tools and resources for performance improvement, and using data to inform strategic decisions related to talent management. Ultimately, the Talent Specialist aims to foster a culture of continuous improvement and strategic workforce readiness within the organization.

 

 

Performance Management Enhancement & Support:

  • Collaborate with HR and leadership to assist with the implementation of performance management processes; including goal setting, performance reviews, and continuous feedback mechanisms, to ensure regular performance discussions.
  • Provide resources, tools, and administrative support for effective performance reviews and feedback systems.

Succession Planning:

  • Assist in the identification of high-potential team members ready to fill key roles, ensuring leadership continuity and organizational stability.
  • Incorporate career mapping to assist team members in understanding their potential career paths within the organization and the steps needed to achieve their career goals.
  • Regularly revise succession plans to align with changing organizational needs and team member development.

Data Analysis and Insights:

  • Gather and analyze relevant HR and performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to enhance organizational effectiveness and team member engagement.
  • Transform HR and performance data into compelling visual stories that inspire strategic decisions.

 

Must Haves:​ ​

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent and relevant professional human resources work experience.
  • Excellent Data Analysis Skills 
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights, using data to paint insightful narratives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Artistic eye for detail with strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Critical thinking skills to assess complex situations and make informed suggestions.

 

Nice-to-Haves:​ ​

  • Exceptional analytical acumen skills to navigate ambiguity and complexity.
  • Knowledge of current HR technology, including HRIS and performance management systems.
