Financial Controller - Canadian Company - Up to 110K

Job Title:: Controller

Location: Montréal (Hybrid)

Salary : 100K-115K

Duration : Temporary to Permanent

Responsibilities

• Assist the CFO in the development of the financial strategy and long-term planning.
• Oversee and coordinate accounting activities, including the preparation of financial statements, management of accounting books, and monthly closing.
• Analyze the company's financial performance, identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Develop and manage the annual budget, as well as the quarterly financial forecasts.
• Supervise internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations in force.
• Manage relationships with banks, auditors and other external stakeholders.
• Implement and optimize financial processes and internal control systems to ensure the integrity of financial information.
• Participate in special projects, including mergers and acquisitions, financing initiatives, and cost-cutting programs.
• Train and coach the finance team to develop their skills and improve the team's performance.
  
  

Qualifications

• CPA, a major asset
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
• Ability to take initiative
• Bilingual environment
• Strong work ethic and great attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Advanced Excel
