Responsibilities

Complete the complete accounting cycle under the supervision of an immediate superior;

Entering current transactions in the various accounting software programs;

Bank reconciliation;

Prepare month-end and year-end entries;

Production of statutory reports (GST/QST/SAS);

Record and control accounts receivable and accounts payable;

Participate in the preparation of financial statements;

Train and advise the client's personnel when required;

Perform any other task requested by his/her superior or required by his/her duties.

Qualifications

Hold a DEC or AEC in accounting;

Minimum of one year of experience in an accounting firm;

Knowledge of the complete accounting cycle;

Knowledge of software: Microsoft Office, Sage 50 (Simply Accounting), Acomba (Atout);

Travel to clients required;

Time management;

Sense of organization of work;

Professionalism;

Resourcefulness;

Autonomy;

Teamwork, communication, rigor and diplomacy skills.
