Job Description

In this pivotal role, you'll partner with key leaders across Technology, Engineering, and Data Science to shape our workplace culture, enhance organizational efficiency, and develop talent within a cutting-edge environment. The ideal candidate will provide dynamic HR leadership through the design and implementation of strategic initiatives related to talent management, organizational design, leadership effectiveness, and cultural development.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic HR Leadership: Propel our business by developing HR strategies that support our core business functions, innovative project launches, focusing on enhancing organizational design and efficiency.
  • Talent Management: Cultivate top-tier talent through effective talent development programs, workforce planning, and succession strategies to foster outstanding leadership within the technology, engineering, and data science teams.
  • Performance and Reward Strategies: Align performance management and compensation strategies with organizational values to reinforce business objectives and culture.
  • Employee Engagement: Enhance our dynamic work environment by implementing initiatives that boost engagement and foster a diverse and inclusive culture.
  • Consultative Partnership: Provide expert consultation on all HR-related matters to senior leadership, enhancing decision-making and leadership effectiveness.
  • Change Management: Lead transformational changes by assessing readiness, executing transition strategies, and ensuring sustainable impact.

Requirements

  • Experience: At least 8 years in HR or People Operations, with a minimum of 5 years in an HRBP role supporting senior leaders (VP level or higher). Demonstrable experience in successfully leading HR projects that align with business goals, such as restructuring teams, introducing new talent management practices, or implementing effective performance management systems.
  • Industry Knowledge: Proven background in working within fast-growing technology organizations. Familiarity with the dynamics and trends of the tech industry, including typical career paths, talent challenges, and the competitive landscape. A good grasp of the roles and challenges specific to engineering, technology, and data science fields to tailor HR strategies effectively.
  • Relationship Building: Exceptional ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with leaders, gaining credibility and influencing key decisions.
  • Strategic Acumen: Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to link HR strategies to broader business objectives. Skilled in workforce planning, talent acquisition and retention strategies, career development, succession planning, and leadership development.
  • Change Leadership: Ability to lead organizational change initiatives, assess change readiness, create detailed change management plans, and drive successful implementation and adoption.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate complex HR principles and strategies clearly and persuasively across all levels of the organization.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: The ability to adapt to rapidly changing business environments, needs, and to manage multiple priorities effectively. Rolls with the punches mentality.

6-Month Accomplishments

  • Build strong relationships with leadership and key employees within the client groups and across the company
  • Have a firm understanding of Poshmark’s culture, values, and leadership principles as well as HR programs to support the employee lifecycle
  • Establish yourself as a trusted advisor and coach on people matters
  • Identify and execute to a either a department-wide or company-wide initiative creating scalable impact
  • Partner with executive leaders to understand understand organizational development and opportunities

12+ Month Accomplishments:

  • Lead a company-wide project within the HR scope and employee lifecycle to business impact in partnership with cross-functional leaders
  • Execute to the identified organizational development and people initiatives, measuring impact and reporting progress
  • Supplement existing or build innovative HR solutions to internal workflows and processes
  • Increase engagement within your client groups and continue building relationships along the way
