Summary Description: Armstrong Teasdale LLP is seeking an associate attorney with government contracts, international trade, and regulatory practice expertise to join its Corporate Services Group (CSG). Associate Attorneys have an exciting opportunity to learn from and work closely with energetic, high experienced patent practitioners in a friendly, cooperative environment. This role can be based in our Washington DC office or Miami, FL office.

• Simultaneously handles the high-level and strategic aspects of multiple legal matters at different stages of progression, from inception to conclusion
• Possess strong attention to detail and good interpersonal skills for communicating with attorneys and clients

• Produces quality legal work and bills the required amounts of hours to ensure excellent client services

Required Education: Juris Doctor

Preferred Education: N/A

Licenses and/or Certifications: Licensed to practice law in good standing in one or more jurisdictions where the Firm conducts business; must maintain applicable license renewal and CLE requirements.

Required Experience: 3+ years’ relevant experience in government contracts matters, including bid protests, contract claims and disputes, and compliance, and international trade matters, including Foreign Corrupt Practice Act (FCPA) and other anti-corruption standards, national security restrictions, export controls (International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR)) and sanctions compliance.

Preferred Experience: 3 or more years of experience as a licensed attorney at a law firm

Supervisory Responsibilities: Indirect - actively utilizes support staff or junior associates to ensure client satisfaction

Physical Activity: The employee will be required to sit (or utilize a standing desk) for prolonged periods and work on a computer.

Travel Required: Less than 10%
