The ideal candidate will have a strong academic record, government experience, exceptional writing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.Duties:Conduct legal research on international trade compliance issues, including US export controls, economic sanctions, and CFIUS foreign investment national security reviews.Draft legal memoranda, opinions, and correspondence related to international trade compliance matters.Assist in the preparation and submission of voluntary disclosures, license applications, and other regulatory filings.Review and analyze client transactions for compliance with relevant regulations and laws.Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop compliance strategies and solutions.Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Active membership in good standing with the Washington, D.C. bar or eligibility for admission by motion.2-4 years of experience in international trade compliance, with a focus on US export controls, economic sanctions, and/or CFIUS foreign investment national security reviews.Government experience will be viewed favorably.Strong academic record with a demonstrated interest in international trade law.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Proficiency in legal research tools and databases.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Active membership in good standing with the Washington, D.C. bar or eligibility for admission by motion.Skills:Proficiency in international trade compliance laws and regulations.Strong legal research and writing skills.Attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Time management and organizational abilities.
