Job Summary:

As the Health, Safety, Security, Environmental and Sustainability (HSSE&S) Technology Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for overseeing the implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of technology systems related to HSSE&S within the organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that technology solutions align with the company's HSSE&S objectives and regulatory requirements. This role requires an understanding of HSS&S processes, technology systems, and project management.


Key Responsibilities:


Technology Systems Management:

  • Support the implementation, and maintenance of HSSE&S technology systems, such as incident management software, risk assessment tools, and compliance tracking systems.
  • Ensure that HSSE&S technology systems meet regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary upgrades or modifications.


Integration and Alignment:

  • Collaborate with other HSSE&S professionals, IT specialists, and stakeholders to integrate HSSE&S technology systems with existing business processes and IT infrastructure.
  • Ensure alignment between HSSE&S technology solutions and organizational goals, strategies, and initiatives.


Data Management and Analysis:

  • Validates the collection, and analysis of HSSE&S -related data from technology systems.
  • Conducts data analysis and techniques to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform decision-making and improve HSSE&S performance.
  • Develop function scorecard or dashboards to present related information.


Training and Support:

  • Provide training and support to HSSE&S personnel and end-users on the use of HSSE&S technology systems.
  • Develop training materials, user guides, and documentation to promote efficient and effective utilization of technology solutions.


Continuous Improvement:

  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and innovation in HSSE&S technology systems.
  • Assess and participate in projects aimed at enhancing the functionality, usability, and efficiency of technology solutions.


Minimum experience required for the position:

  • 8 Years of experience in HSSE&S management, IT project management, or related roles, with a focus on technology systems.
  • Experience in project management methodologies, change management practices, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience with HSSE&S technology systems such as incident reporting software, EHS management platforms, and data analytics tools.


Minimum/preferred knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position:

  • Strong knowledge of HSE principles, regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA), and industry standards (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
  • Knowledge of ESG Reporting frameworks (e.g. GRI, SASB, DJSI, IPIECA, etc.) preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.


Required/preferred education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Project Management Professional (PMP), or relevant IT certifications are a plus.


Work Environment

This position operates in a professional office environment with occasional work within or outside of a complex construction environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers/fax, filing cabinets, etc. This is primarily a sedentary role; however, the incumbent must be able to stand and/or sit continuously to perform all essential job functions for a full shift.


Able to meet the following physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations:

  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. as required in order to lift files, boxes and office equipment as necessary.
  • Ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending, standing on a stool, or climbing as necessary to perform these functions.
  • While performing the duties of this role, the incumbent may be required to talk or listen.
  • Visual acuity corrected to perform job functions. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • The incumbent is required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
  • Ability to move throughout all areas of each office/site location and facilities.
  • Able to wear all necessary PPE equipment to perform job functions.
