Morgan Stanley Services Group, Inc. seeks a Director in New York, New York

Assist the team in providing critical operational, analytical, and strategic insights to help accelerate the growth of companies. Participate in the identification, investment memo creation and selection of the companies that will participate in the accelerator program, including performing financial due diligence, creating financial projections, market research, competitive analysis, identifying market/investment trends, and analyzing product. Synthesize analyses into meaningful deliverables/presentations for senior management and external stakeholders. Create standard and custom executive reporting packages/presentations on a monthly, quarterly and ad‐hoc basis. Prepare all materials for transactions or execution of deals. Prepare plans of action for investment, using financial analyses. Provide support to senior management in broadening Venture Capital universe coverage. Advise clients on aspects of capitalization, such as amounts, sources, or timing. Inform investment decisions by analyzing financial information to forecast business, industry, or economic conditions. Develop and maintain client relationships.

Salary: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $178,000 and $178,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.

Requirements

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field of study and two (2) years of experience in the position offered or two (2) years as an Associate, Investor, Financial Analyst, or a closely related occupation. Requires two (2) years of experience with: Company Valuation and public market comp analysis; Financial markets; Portfolio Evaluation and Management of investment asset performance over time; metrics including Investment Return Rate (IRR); Three statement financial models and projections; Quarterly investment portfolio financial Review and Reporting; working in Global Financial Firm; Investment Management business metrics including Return on Investment (ROI), Profitability, and Cash Burn; financial firm’s Compliance and risk review, and requirements related to potential investments; Financial Research and themes generation inclusive of emerging markets idiosyncrasies; and investing ecosystem mapping and targeting using Pitchbook and CB insights.
